As I said at the start - the ParentPay 'service' at this end of things really isn't good enough and I can't recommend this way of paying for school items. Further update 01/02/21 !! Apologies to ParentPay for my latest rant, as the refund finally reached our account from the caterer (Caterlink) last week, without anyone informing me.
ParentPay is an online payments service in the UK that is used by more than 5 million families and 13,000 schools to make the process of paying for school trips, music lessons or other activities seamless; the company handles more than £1bn in payments every year; with schools being closed due to the coronavirus parents started requesting refunds and some ran into problems getting their money
The best way to make a refund is to return the balance to the payer’s Parent Account. This means that the money is back with the payer and they can decide what they want to do, either keep it in there to pay for other items for any of the children linked to their account, or make a withdrawal. Refunds to a Parent Account are free of charge. Please check your @ParentPay accounts. Refunds on accounts have been actioned. If you had a balance of more than £3.00 you will have been refunded. You will need to log into your account then withdraw the refund back onto your bank card or transfer to siblings.

Pay for stuff with peace of mind and without having to turn the house upside down to find cash. ParentPay have also put in place additional measures to deal with the current high volume of refunds nationally which has slowed the refund process and they are not able to do a mass refund of balances on our behalf at this time, so each refund has to be processed manually. Refunds / Transfers to other siblings.
